Protocol

Common questions related to Homerun Protocol.

Is Homerun a syndicate investment platform?

Certainly, Homerun is a platform that enables individual investors to form investment syndicates with other Angel investors, pool capital, and evaluate potential businesses. By leveraging the power of blockchain technology Homerun promises a secure and transparent platform to form and monitor co-investment.

Does Homerun have a Token?

Homerun does NOT have a token. It is crucial to exercise caution regarding scams that falsely advertise the existence or distribution of Homerun or Homerun-related tokens. (Please note: The tokens associated with an investment club are non-transferrable and represent ownership within the club. They are designed for purposes such as on-chain governance specific to the club and should not be mistaken for Homerun Protocol tokens.)

Which blockchain is Homerun built on?

For now, Homerun protocol has been successfully implemented on the Ethereum (L1) network. Future deployment plans on other additional networks and Layer 2 solutions are still in progress.

Has Homerun Protocol received security audits?

With Homerun officially deployed on Ethereum in Q3/2023, our contracts are expected to be formally audited and verified by industry auditors by the end of Q4/2023.

How can I contribute to the protocol?

The Homerun protocol is currently undergoing its essential development phase, and as such, it is not yet available as an open-source project. We encourage you to contact our team if you have any specific ideas or proposals regarding potential contributions to the protocol.

Are there any risks when using Homerun?

There are a number of risks associated with using Homerun, including:

  • Loss of funds: There is always the risk of losing funds when investing in any asset, including early-stage startups, cryptocurrencies or other digital collectibles. This is why caution must be exercised even with an investment that has been carefully screened by the platform.

  • Smart contract risk: The Syndicate DAO platform uses smart contracts to execute transactions. Smart contracts are computer programs that are stored on the blockchain and can be executed automatically without the need for a third party. However, smart contracts are not without their risks. If a smart contract has a bug or is hacked, it could result in the loss of funds.

  • Market risk: In the case of investing in cryptocurrencies or digital collectibles, those assets are subject to high price volatility and significant fluctuation. This means that you could lose money if the price of the cryptocurrency you invest in falls.

What kind of fees do I have to pay?

There are a few fees associated with using the Homerun platform, including:

  • Monthly subscription fee: There is a monthly subscription fee depending on the investment plan of Club Heads. (Please check Subscription Plan)

  • Transaction fees: There is a transaction fee for all transactions made on the platform, depending on the status of the Ethereum network at the time of record.

  • Withdrawal fees: There is a withdrawal fee on all withdrawals made from the platform, depending on the status of the Ethereum network at the time of record.
